Our Systems Control location in Iron Mountain, MI is looking for an Engineering Technician who wants to grow with us as we grow! The Engineering Technician position is responsible for providing technical support to engineering, design, project management, and manufacturing teams.

A Day In The Life
- Check wiring diagrams to schematics and front view layouts to ensure drawing quality
- Document all problems on WD and schematics and communicate issues back to the customer
- Record information in Engineering check list using access database
- Ensure all components are correctly entered on a bill of material using Syteline
- Properly manage all information changes that are associated with a BOM from entering changes to creating an ECN
- Review nameplates and order them in timely manner
- Research information on components and their functions using manuals and/or Internet if needed
- Create point-to-point wiring diagrams from given schematics and front views.
- Ability to read and understand electrical wiring and schematic diagrams
- Proficiency in Windows based software, to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
- Working knowledge of CAD software to include AutoCAD, MicroStation a plus
- Understanding of electrical principles, electrical relaying and associated electronic devices
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to multitask given projects
