Our Iron Mountain, MI location is looking for a Logistics Coordinator will support the daily logistics operations, including travel coordination, product shipment and equipment delivery.
A Day in the Life
- Create shipping and travel paperwork
- Enter traveler time sheets & process EE trip reports
- Update Control Panels (spreadsheets, schedules, charts)
- Complete Delivery Conference Call preparation & follow-ups
- Assist with Pre-Travel Safety Brief set-up
- Maintain department records (scanning / copying / e-mails)
- Coordinate travel accommodations (flights, hotels, rental cars & equipment)
- Back-up for daily UPS shipments
- High School Diploma, Associates Degree preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience in logistics, transportation or supply chain, preferably in a customer-focused environment
- Proven ability to speak effectively before groups and over the phone
- Strong background in computer programs including MS Excel, Word and Outlook
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and planning skills
- Possession of strong documentation skills and excellent written and oral communication
- Skilled at coordinating multiple projects and contractors at one time
- Ability to perform assigned duties under time pressures in an interruptive environment
- Works well with a range of people including suppliers, carriers and customers (internal and external)
- Excellent time management skills
