Job Overview
Reporting to Quality Lead, the Quality Technician will have a proactive and positive approach, and be flexible, reliable, and accountable. The QA Technician will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance protocols to ensure our Wi-Fi and wireless infrastructure products meet established standards and customer expectations. This role emphasizes preventing defects through process improvements and quality management systems. You should be able to work as part of a small team championing quality within our site while ensuring all elements of compliance every step of the way.
A Day In The Life
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure product reliability and performance.
- Oversee data analysis, data trending, project and test coordination, product and material specification management
- Inspect and test incoming materials, components, and products for defects and deviations from specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and manufacturing, to integrate quality assurance standards into product development.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
- Train staff in quality assurance protocols and best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain documentation of quality assurance activities, including audit findings, corrective actions, and process improvements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements to ensure the company’s quality assurance practices remain current and effective.
- Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Carry out Customer returns / inspection and fault finding.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues within products, implementing corrective actions to maintain quality and performance.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment as needed.
What will help you thrive in this role?
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Technician or in a similar role within the manufacturing or telecommunications industry (Minimum of 5 years)
- Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and standards.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing quality management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address quality issues proactively.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and document quality processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations related to wireless infrastructure products.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, technical drawings, and test reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Experience with SAP strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in electrical engineering, quality management, or a related field is preferred.
