A Day In The Life
Job Duties :
- Circuit design, hardware verification and validation of new products, both by hands-on effort and in assistance to other team members.
- Responsibilities range from component / circuit design and review, through layout supervision and review, to prototype bring-up, testing and documentation.
- Write SOW documents outlining Hardware Design requirements for offshore teams.
- Work with offshore teams on weekly basis to make progress on the tasks / projects, resolve technical queries.
- Design reviews on various circuit and board designs.
- Perform hardware verification tests and support system verification tests.
- Develop methods to instrument signals in units under tests, using hard connections or utilizing FPGA access or similar methods.
- Load embedded software images on prototypes, maintain adapters and pods, and document methods for other team members and production.
- Interface with production team to arrange and to track development / test rework.
- Troubleshoot prototypes in bring-up phase and afterwards, assist in identifying design or manufacturability problems.
