Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, adjusting and operating various machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products.
Duties
- Operate machinery including upsetter, forging hammer, furnace, trim press, robotic controls, forklift, overhead hoist and other departmental equipment to manufacture components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret drawing, routing sheets and process procedures.
- Must satisfactorily use calipers, gages, measuring devices, etc.
- Make visual inspections, separate parts, record production, record scrap, and keep required production records.
- Maintain machines, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while operating machinery.
Skills
- Ability to sit and/or stand and perform repetitive work for a minimum of eight hours.
- Ability to walk, hear, see, read, and have full use of both hands.
- Ability to swing a sledgehammer.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor.
- Ability to handle 15 lbs. continuously for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to work in a high temperature environment.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. and carry at waist level a distance of 10 feet.
