Job OverviewThe Hubbell Enterprise Marketing (HEM) Associate Graphic Designer creates and elevates brand awareness of Hubbell and its portfolio of brands through creative graphic design. They energize their clients with a natural eye for design and a drive to inspire dynamic ideas that connect with all types of audiences. The Associate Graphic Designer should be extremely creative, dedicated, and committed to high quality work product under strict deadlines. The right candidate will have strong conceptual skills, design expertise and the ability to clearly articulate how conceptual ideas tie to solving business problems. They will ensure a consistent Hubbell voice through storytelling, imagery, and overall look and feel to drive customer awareness, engagement, and advocacy.#LI-SL1A Day In The LifeUse best-in-class design tools, techniques, and technologies to produce innovative graphic design and artwork for use in presentations, publications, promotional materials, websites, social media, and other mediums as assignedCreate proofs of printed copy and art and copy materialsConfer with internal customers to discuss project requirements, objectives, presentation concepts and then coordinate creative activitiesUnderstand and utilize stakeholder or creative leadership feedback to improve designsProvide input and collaboration on design concepts, brand standards, and art layoutsCreate custom illustrations or other graphic elements, conforming to standards and specificationsEnsure high quality and on time completion of all work projectsServe as a core designer on projects with an ability to execute successfully with support from team leadsWork with team leads to understand and contribute to creative strategy for projectsArticulate design decisions and present work to creative leads and stakeholdersWhat will help you thrive in this role?BFA or BS degree in graphic design, illustration, fine arts, or other relevant field of study.At least 3 years of experience in graphic design or related experienceAbility to work with the Adobe Creative Suite specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesignA solid understanding of and hands-on experience applying graphic design principles and best practicesStrong knowledge of and experience in graphic design, illustration, animation, packaging, web design and multi-media requiredThe ability to work with little to no supervision in delivering high quality work and is capable of effectively collaborating with global, cross-functional teams as neededDemonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectivelyStrong listening, project management, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skillsSelf-motivated and able to thrive in a result-driven environmentCompetenciesHubbell IncorporatedHubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
