Job OverviewUnder general supervision, counts, examines, weighs, and checks incoming materials and supplies. Pulls material from stock in preparation for fabrication. Puts material away or delivers to requestor. This position is a broad-based title encompassing multiple departments within the manufacturing facility.A Day In The LifeMoves materials to & from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, & manufacturing areas by hand or with available material handling equipment (MHE) such as hand truck, pallet jack, cart, forklift, or hydraulic lift.Performs & reports cycle counts.Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials & supplies in stock by recording location of inventory in warehouse / on the shelves.Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on bill of materials and delivering to appropriate work cell staging / kitting area.Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials & supplies.Documents materials & supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials & supplies code & lot number & quantity, placing materials in back in stock.Operates forklifts, hand tools, & other equipment to move freight & material.Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections & properly filling out user inspection records.Keep work areas, warehouse, storage areas, & all equipment clean, neat, & orderly.Complies with all BA applicable Environmental and Safety rules, policies, and regulations.Cycle Count responsibilities & Bin Consolidation.Work Root Cause Analysis using ERP system to problem solve.Work directly with Lead, Planner, & Production Supervisor to coordinate priority and problem solve.Responsible to transfer errors or resolve in real time Material Handlers errors in a timely manner.What will help you thrive in this role?Skills and Experience3 – 5 years of closely related experience;Preferred SAP experience;Ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks in a timely manner.Ability to multi-task as needed.Knowledge of proper use of safety equipment, i.e., safety glasses, ear plugs, and work boots where necessary.Physical demands and work environment : Ability to move about the facility moving product.Lift up to 35 pounds.Occasionally stoop, kneel, and crouch.Stand and or sit on stool in one area for up to two (2) hours at a time.Turn and assemble production parts with fingers and hands for up to two (2) hours at a time.Work usually takes place in a manufacturing / warehouse environment where conditions can be reflective of the outside elements.Hubbell IncorporatedHubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
