Job Overview
The Tool Repair Expeditor is responsible for accurately processing tools for repair. This position requires attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
A Day In The Life
- Responsibilities include receiving and processing all tool repair shipments, matching returned items with their corresponding documentation
- Locate and pull stock from our warehouse and other onsite locations to restock and supply our repair inventory
- Work with Customer Service and Tool Repair Coordinators to coordinate the flow of returns and repairs as they move through the work cell
- Deliver outgoing shipments to appropriate personnel within the shipping department.
- Perform routine maintenanceduties such as recycling and waste processing to help maintain an organized and safe work environment
- Accesses, inputs, and retrieves data from facility management software such as SAP.
- Prioritize and stage repairs for the repair technicians
- Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
- Transports materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
- Tracks and monitors materials and jobs on the department work floor.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases or other containers.
- Removes damaged and / or unused shipping materials such as empty pallets, wrapping, banding or other packaging materials.
- All other duties as assign by the supervisor
- Communicate with customers with any issues associated with tool repair.
