Job Overview

The Tool Repair Expeditor is responsible for accurately processing tools for repair. This position requires attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.

A Day In The Life

  • Responsibilities include receiving and processing all tool repair shipments, matching returned items with their corresponding documentation
  • Locate and pull stock from our warehouse and other onsite locations to restock and supply our repair inventory
  • Work with Customer Service and Tool Repair Coordinators to coordinate the flow of returns and repairs as they move through the work cell
  • Deliver outgoing shipments to appropriate personnel within the shipping department.
  • Perform routine maintenanceduties such as recycling and waste processing to help maintain an organized and safe work environment
  • Accesses, inputs, and retrieves data from facility management software such as SAP.
  • Prioritize and stage repairs for the repair technicians
  • Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
  • Transports materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
  • Tracks and monitors materials and jobs on the department work floor.
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases or other containers.
  • Removes damaged and / or unused shipping materials such as empty pallets, wrapping, banding or other packaging materials.
  • All other duties as assign by the supervisor
  • Communicate with customers with any issues associated with tool repair.

  • 2-5 years experiencein a manufacturing environment.
  • General understanding of Microsoft Applications.
  • Must be detail oriented and self motivated
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to participate in a team-orientated environment.
  • Willingness to assist others.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the company.
  • Basic mechanical experience.
  • Lifting up to 50pounds
  • Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend
