What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Experience Specialist - Furniture position at Hubbingtons?
Hubbingtons has an unusual marketing concept that makes it relaxed and fun for the right person. We sell only American made furniture and price it everyday lower than any other retailer in New England. With a quality product and very aggressive pricing your job becomes more of helping and finding the right furniture for your customer and less about pricing. With past motivated hires we have never needed to have a quota system (like most stores).
We have a locatinon in Barrington and North Hampton, NH and have an opening at the North Hampton location.
We're looking for someone:
- Design related degree and some practical experience
- Has the skill and confidence to help our customer coordinate fabrics and chose furniture that fits with their taste and home
- Who feels comfortable with Microsoft office.
- Has an interest in helping with stock purchases and store product layout to enhance the customer experience in our store
- Interest in using social media and local events to promote potential customers to work with them and Hubbingtons
- Who wants to make a good living and do something they enjoy but has avoided retail because of the weird work hours....which we don't have.
We offer something different than other retail stores:
- Regular 5 day/40 hour work week Tuesday-Saturday. Part time position would be Friday/Saturday (Saturday of course would be part of any schedule) We are not open nights or Sundays.
- A schedule that does not change from week to week.
- Average pay with commission and hourly would be in the $50-$60 per year range for full time. If you are a little better than average (and all of our employees are) you will do better than that. We pay 1/2 commission up front when sale is made.
- We do not have sales quotas. If your personality and values fit our store you will succeed with ease.
- Casual dress is preferred here.
- We want you involved in everything here at Hubbingtons. Opportunities to attend trade shows in High Point and the various Amish Communities
- Part Sales and Part administration as you help with pricing, ordering, furniture layout and of course keeping the showroom tidy and organized.
- Lots to learn as all of our vendors have 100's of options availble for you to offer as you help our customers find just want they want for their home.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
