JOB SUMMARY
The Project Engineer will manage and direct engineering projects and mechanical design, oversee and solve problems with the application engineers, development engineering and suppliers on HUBER Technology projects and equipment involving engineering design, CAD, programming and start up. The employee will set priorities on jobs and communicate with HUBER Project Managers and / or customers to ensure that we are meeting requirements on their work. This position will be part of the Project Management Office and will report to the Director of Project Management
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following represents a list of essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned or re-assigned as the Manufacturing Facility expands.
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring engineering progress, calculating time requirements considering sequencing project elements, coordinating activities and resolving engineering problems on new projects
- Develops project engineering objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans conferring with application and R&D (HSE) engineering team when required.
- Determines project requirements by studying customer specification, environment, and internal performance standards for comparable projects.
- Performs engineering calculations and analysis verifying design robustness and ensuring product meet performance requirements
- Controls external project costs by reviewing RFQ documents and approving supplier quotes.
- Responsible for mechanical designs associated with complete systems that meet customers’ expectations.
- Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications and recommending correct engineering plan of actions.
- Responsible to ensure documentation meets customer requirements.
- Accountable for ensuring all mechanical designs are up to date according to manufacturing and / or customer changes.
- Assist sales, application engineers and product mangers with the development of new products, concepts or cost-related issues.
- Maintains product and company reputation by ensuring products comply with engineer on records specification as well as federal and state regulations.
- Lead project design reviews, approving designs prior to submission of submittals
- Support Project managers on technical issues and lead technical activities including but not limited to
- Internal Buy off (OK to Ship) of projects
- Support Handover meetings providing technical oversight
- Support quotition on large scale or complex projects
- Lead root cause resolution on field issues or customer complaints
- Ownership and approval of installation drawings
- Solving manufacturing issues related to design
Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not supervise other employees but does supervise processes and procedures.
TRAVEL
Up to 25% travel may be required to meet business needs
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting, however there could be exposure to warehouse / shop elements. Potential for exposure to undesirable field elements at treatment plants or contractor’s site if a project requires a visit.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a regular Full-Time benefit eligible position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday-Friday,
8 : 00 am -5 : 00 pm, or an approved flex schedule related to the needs of the role. Flexibility outside of standard hours may be needed to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
Pre-Hire : Ability to pass a drug test as it relates to the role, background check as it relates to the role, and completion of an I-9 form. HUBER is an E-Verify Employer.
