Willow Valley Communities, the Premier Senior Living Community in Lancaster, PA, has partnered with Hubric Resources in search of a Vice President, Human Resources. The Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of Team Member compensation, recruitment, succession planning, performance management, policy, and regulatory compliance. The Vice President of Human Resources serves as an integral part of the corporate leadership team with specific accountabilities to lead the alignment of culture, talent and organizational design required to support Willow Valley Communities department goals and strategic objectives. The Vice President of Human Resources will ensure that the Willow Valley Communities Mission, Philosophy, Values, and Vision is supported in all aspects of Team Member relations.
Key Functions of the position:
- Gives Leadership to all functions of Human Resources
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
- Prepares the annual Human Resources budget and provides benefits and compensation information to support the operational budget process.
- Gives leadership to the development and implementation of compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost effective.
- Administers the workers compensation program, including working with the insurance carrier to reduce Team Member lost time.
- Directs Team Leaders in the appropriate resolution of Team Member relations issues.
- Directs the performance management system to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
- Gives leadership to the salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within the organization and remain competitive within the marketplace.
- Assists with crafting talent acquisition strategies to build strong pipelines for future hiring needs.
- Evaluates training and development programs to build future leaders, strengthen current leadership and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Participates in directing, leading and instructing Team Leaders in orientation, educational sessions, quarterly meetings and department meetings.
- Represents the organization at unemployment hearings and investigations, as well as working directly with legal counsel to resolve issues that involve employment matters.
- Develop, communicate, and implement Human Resource policies to support the organization’s business objectives.
- Responsible for collecting data and complete required reporting and key performance indicators.
- Assists with developing Team Member events and activities to promote healthy workplace culture and environment.
- Participates in safety and risk management programs designed to mitigate risk.
- Develops and initiates strategies to minimize Team Member turnover and increase retention.
- Ensures all Human Resources materials, handbook, manuals, publications, Intranet site and recruiting information is up to date.
Required Education and Experience of the Vice President, Human Resources:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S. / B.A.) in Human Resources or related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of Human Resources experience with a least 3 years of senior leadership experience.
- Hands-on experience with HR software (HRIS, ATS).
- SHRM certification desired.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Experience executing organizational change management programs that are strategically aligned with existing business processes/policies
