About the Role:

Ironclad Defense Works, Inc. is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia in support of NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT). This pivotal role involves leading and coordinating risk management efforts across the organization to ensure effective delivery of NATO's transformational initiatives. The Risk Manager will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design, implement, and monitor risk mitigation strategies, aligning with NATO's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks and methodologies for HQ ACT and its stakeholders
• Identify, analyze, and evaluate risks related to NATO transformation initiatives and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate them
• Collaborate with internal divisions and external NATO agencies to ensure alignment and compliance with NATO’s policies and strategic objectives
• Prepare and deliver detailed reports, briefings, and presentations on risk assessments to senior leaders and decision-makers within NATO
• Provide training and guidance to staff on risk management best practices and methodologies
• Monitor and review the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures and update plans as needed
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree is preferred
• Experience: At least 5 years of risk management experience within the last 10 years, preferably in a defense, governmental, or international organization
• Proven track record in program and project management, including the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to brief senior leaders and decision-makers with clarity and professionalism
• Experience working in or with NATO strategic or operational commands is strongly preferred
  
  

Other Requirements:

• Familiarity with industry-standard risk management methodologies and tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Security Clearance: Active NATO SECRET or equivalent clearance is mandatory
• Fluent in English (written and oral) at the professional level (STANAG 6001 Level 3 or equivalent)
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in developing risk management policies or frameworks within NATO or similar international organizations
• Knowledge of NATO’s strategic objectives and transformation initiatives
