We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries regarding products and services.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately while ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, resolving issues, and offering product recommendations.
- Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and store sales.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring that stock levels are adequate.
- Assist in supervising junior staff members when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain high standards of service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in customer service or cashier roles is preferred.
- Strong phone etiquette skills for effective communication with customers.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is a plus.
- Ability to upsell products while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in a grocery store environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting while also being self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
