Purpose Of Role
Reporting to the Senior Environmental Scientist, the Environmental Scientist will be responsible for coordinating with other environmental team members in the preparation of documents, compliance reports, and Environmental Management System protocols, and conducting field inspection to ensure permit compliance. During regular business, the employee may be required to travel locally.

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities may be required for this position.

The work environment will be nearly exclusively outside and weather conditions such as hot or cold, windy, and very dry to wet conditions. Work will be conducted off established roads and trails on a variety of terrain.
Employee will be expected to drive a company vehicle, rental vehicle and/or his/her own vehicle in the course of performing the job, Employee must be able to perform the physical functions of operating a motor vehicle, including use of eyes, ears, arms, hands, legs, and feet. Employee must be able to prove that he/she has a current and valid driver's license.

Purpose Of Role
Reporting to the Senior Environmental Scientist, the Environmental Scientist will be responsible for coordinating with other environmental team members in the preparation of documents, compliance reports, and Environmental Management System protocols, and conducting field inspection to ensure permit compliance. During regular business, the employee may be required to travel locally.
Role Accountabilities
- Maintaining records, preparing reports, composing correspondence and performing other administrative activities as necessary to meet compliance requirements.
- Utilizing ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS online and ArcGIS applications for project preparation, monitoring activities, and reporting purposes
- Working with the Project team to ensure construction projects comply with environmental plans, policies, permits, etc.
- Conducting field inspections related to construction or other engineering activities
- Leading the installation, operation and maintenance activities associated with scientific equipment
- Assisting in the development of procedures and plans for chemical and waste management
- Reviewing contractor chemicals prior to on-site usage
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, natural resources, or similar degree.
- Advance level of Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro software.
- Ability to work in an effective manner, with limited supervision, with a diverse group of professionals in a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate to all levels confidently and effectively within the company.
