What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Lathe Operator position at Hudson City Consulting?
We are currently looking for a CNC Machine Operator with metal experience. The CNC Machine Operator will help manufacture pumps for locomotives, steamships, and Defense industries. CNC Machine Operator will ensure excellence of products by following inspection protocols and detecting errors before products are released. This is a Direct Hire opportunity with company benefits.
CNC Machine Operator Responsibilities
• Set up CNC Machine to appropriate fixtures, attachments, and tools necessary, according to blueprint specifications
• Load material onto CNC Machine and position in place using clamps or fixtures
• Modify speed, tooling, and cutting style to ensure accuracy of manufactured parts
• Oversee cutting process, making adjustments and necessary measures to eliminate errors
• Inspect finished products for precise quality and accuracy
• Collaborate with Engineers and Supervisors on project specifications, consistency between plans, and modify designs
CNC Machine Operator Requirements
• At least 2 years of experience as a CNC Machine Operator
• Familiarity with CNC Programming
• Experienced operating Lathe, Mill, Drill, and Grinder machinery on metal products
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Ability to interpret blueprint readings, technical drawings, and specifications
• Experience with Okuma or Mazak machinery a plus
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Hours: 6am – 2:30pm (Overtime availability when needed)
Pay: $25 – $31/hr. depending on experience
Salary : $25 - $31
