As an Auto Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing vehicle damage, providing accurate estimates for repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate vehicles to determine the extent of damage and necessary repairs.
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for repair costs using industry-standard software.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain the estimation process and answer any questions.
- Collaborate with technicians and service advisors to ensure all aspects of the repair process are understood and accounted for.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive repair techniques, parts pricing, and labor rates.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
- Assist in sales efforts by promoting additional services or products that may benefit the customer.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in auto estimating or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems, including diesel engine repair, oil changes, shocks, struts, and auto body repair.
- Familiarity with automotive service processes and terminology.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Sales experience is a plus to help promote services effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple estimates efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability.
