We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP, and will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, creating invoices, AP/AR, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct financial audits to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Perform double entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records.
- Utilize software tools such as Excel and PeopleSoft for data analysis and reporting.
- Assist in payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
- Provide mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering professional development within the team.
- Support estate planning by applying knowledge of wills, trusts, and estate law as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and PeopleSoft.
- Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Experience in financial auditing is preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll processes is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,917.00 - $56,236.00 per year
