The College is currently searching for a Part-time Administrative Assistantfor the Office of Facilities.The Part-time Administrative Assistant provides administrative support such as: editing basic to complex documents, proofreading, creating/maintaining files; compiling reports and proactively responding to mail. The administrative assistant will also assist with supporting documentation for various projects. In addition, the Part-Time Administrative Assistant participates in special projects as assigned and proactively tracks status of work in progress; independently initiates necessary follow-up action to ensure adherence to established timeframes; and effectively collaborates with others to contribute to project completion. Reporting to the Executive Director, the position assists other members of the Facilities team as required.

Required/Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of three years related work experience. Working with a culturally diverse college population is highly desirable. Community college experience is a plus. A commitment to excellent customer service is essential. Proficiency with various computer programs including the Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe, Word, Excel. Previous experience working with vendors and account payable is helpful.
Demonstrated ability to interact with a culturally diverse population and to effectively and respectfully function and communicate within the context of varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities, and cultural backgrounds.

The Nursing Program has Clinical Affiliation Agreements with Cooperman RWJ Barnabus, CarePoint Health, Hudson Regional Hospital and Atlantic Health System. Also, the Nursing Program has Articulation Agreements with NJCU, Ramapo College and Montclair State University which allows students a seamless pathway to obtain a BSN.
More than 90% of HCCC's students receive scholarships, grants, and loans to finance their education, and the College's extensive financial aid program helps connect students with the resources they need. To date, the College's Foundation has raised over $3.5 million for student scholarships, and HCCC ranks first in the state of New Jersey for its award of Community College Opportunity Grant funds. About half of its more than 12,000 credit students identify as Hispanic, and more than 33% of all students were born outside of the U.S. In 2021, HCCC had two students selected from a national applicant pool to receive the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Foundation's Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship and recently six students were named as 2023 semi-finalists.
HCCC has three campuses. The largest campus is located at the heart of Jersey City's Journal Square, which is approximately 20 minutes from New York City.
