Hudson Elms is a 50 bed skilled nursing and 25 bed Assisted Living facility looking for a fun, energetic Activity Director to fill a full-time roles. The ideal candidate will help design programs to encourage socialization, provide entertainment, realization and fulfillment to improve daily living skills. Have fun while getting paid!
Job Responsibilities
Directs other activity personnel in implementing activity programs and services at the facility. Assists in training, teaching and directing od volunteers and students.
Provides all department heads with a schedule of planned activity programs and posts calendars in a conspicuous locations easily accessible and legible to the residents and staff.
Maintains a system of records including resident information, progress notes, attendance logs, discharge summaries, Resident Council Meeting minutes and activity assistant assessments / plans for each resident on a daily basis.
Provides personal services for residents such as writing letters, mailing packages and transporting to community events when transportation is available.
Attends resident care conferences to identify problems and obtain goals and approaches to be implemented in the care plan.
Assist activity director with the season décor of the facility.
Performs light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning up after parties and programs, when necessary. Keeps office area clean as well as desk and surrounding areas.
Other duties as assigned by the activities director.
Qualifications
18 years of age or older
Possesses a valid drivers’ license
Flexible to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends and / or holidays
Possesses recreational generalist background or a minimum of two (2) years full-time or equivalent part-time paid work experience in a healthcare setting.
