What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Staff Coordinator/Scheduler position at Hudson Elms Nursing Home?
Hudson Elms of AOM Healthcare is currently looking for a Nursing Staff Coordinator! Candidates will be responsible for the completion of the nursing schedule under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Nursing and/or Director of Nursing. This role is responsible for maintaining schedules for Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living employees.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and manage staffing schedule and job assignments according to nursing department budgetary guidelines and needs. Contacts personnel to fill-in when there is an absence of another staff member.
- Provides support to the building, which includes answering telephones and greeting guests and vendors as they arrive.
- Addresses employee satisfaction issues immediately and assists in resolving the matter in a professional manner.
- Participates as assigned in the orientation of new staff and demonstrates a positive, helpful and enthusiastic attitude.
- Acts appropriately under the direction of the Assistant Director of Nursing and/or Director of Nursing and acts as an active member of the interdiscplinary team.
- Effectively manage a schedule of rotating agency personnel at the needs of the facility.
- Is aware of Resident Abuse Reporting Law, Fire and Disaster Drills, and Resident Rights.
Job Requirements include:
- Highschool diploma required, or sufficient experience and knowledge to perform the job functions.
- Experience with Long Term Care scheduling preferred, but not necessary.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess experience in typing, filing, copying and other clerical functions.
- Possess strong organization skills, and attention to detail, and projects a professional image.
- Must meet health assessment requirements, including two stage Mantoux skin test.
- Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must be able to communicate in English, verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
- State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) is preferred.
