Title: Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Associate/Head of FP&A
About the role:
Our client is a $10 billion aum hedge fund . They have a collegial culture with a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate to own, enhance and lead the budgeting forecasting and financial analysis functions. The right candidate will have a strong foundation of financial services experience preferably in alternative investments with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop, manage, and refine comprehensive budgeting and forecasting processes to align with the firm's strategic objectives.
- Budget-to-Actual Analysis: Own the budget-to-actual reporting process; analyze variances, identify trends, and recommend actionable solutions to senior leadership.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Provide insightful analysis to support decision-making, including scenario planning, risk assessments, and key performance metrics.
- Process Ownership & Improvement: Take full ownership of the FP&A function, enhancing current processes and implementing best practices to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with executive leadership to model and analyze strategic initiatives, capital allocation decisions, and other ad-hoc projects.
- Industry Insight: Leverage investment management industry expertise to anticipate trends, identify challenges, and inform financial planning.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including accounting, portfolio management, and operations, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of financial objectives.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7 years in financial planning, analysis, or related roles within an investment management firm or hedge fund.
- Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of hedge funds or investment management operations, financial dynamics, and key industry drivers.
