Hybrid-- 3-4 Days/Week In Office
Our client is a well-known venture capital fund looking to add a Controller to join their team. The Controller would report directly into the CFO, and help execute and improve upon accounting systems for the organization.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
• Ensure all investor and other reporting obligations are completed on a timely basis, including quarterly and annual financial statements, tax filings, K-1s, and compliance-related reporting.
• Manage the Fund’s valuation process
• Proactively maintaining the internal database
• Intake and synthesize financial data from portfolio companies across the funds.
• Assisting with the quarterly advisory board deck preparation
• Oversee the annual fund’s audit process
• Oversee all aspects of financial administration, including all capital call notices and distributions, tracking available capital, etc.
• Assist with investor relations-related activities, as needed
• Coordinate with various parties, including deal teams, Fund counsel, auditors, tax advisors, and administrator
• Monitor and manage the cash management process
• Ad hoc projects and assignments, as needed
Ideal Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or other related major from an accredited college or university
- 6 years of experience in venture capital or private equity fund accounting
- Previous experience with valuations a PLUS
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks and projects
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
- CPA certification a PLUS
