About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly experienced and passionate Corporate Italian Chef to lead the culinary direction and operations of authentic Italian cuisine across multiple restaurant locations. This position requires a culinary expert in traditional and modern Italian cooking, with a focus on handmade pasta and scratch-made dishes that reflect the highest standards of Italian gastronomy. The ideal candidate will oversee menu development, ensure consistency and inspire culinary teams while maintaining the authenticity and excellence of our Italian dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Menu Development and Execution
- Design, implement and standardize authentic Italian menus across all locations, highlighting handmade pasta and traditional Italian techniques
- Develop seasonal and regionally inspired menus that celebrate Italy's diverse culinary heritage
- Create detailed recipes and plating guides to ensure consistency and quality across all units
Training and Team Development
Train and mentor kitchen staff at each location in the art of scratch pasta-making, sauce preparation and Italian culinary techniquesConduct workshops and hands on training sessions to enhance the skills of culinary teamsFoster a culture of excellence, collaboration and respect within the kitchen teamsQuality Assurance and Culinary Oversight
Conduct regular site visits to ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation and executionTaste and review dishes to guarantee authenticity and consistency in all locationsMonitor and address culinary challenges, providing solutions to maintain operational excellenceIngredient Sourcing and Cost Management
Source and vet high quality ingredients, including imported Italian products, to maintain authenticityCollaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and streamline procurement processesManage food costs and waste reduction initiatives across all locationsCreativity and Innovation
Stay updated on culinary trends in Italian cuisine and incorporate innovative ideas while honoring traditionDevelop signature dishes and showcase recipes that differentiate our restaurants in the marketCollaborate with the marketing team to highlight seasonal menus and special culinary eventsLeadership and Collaboration
Work closely with Executive Chefs, General Managers and Corporate leadership to align culinary programs with overall business goalsProvide strategic input for kitchen layout and equipment needs to optimize operationsRepresent the brand at culinary events, tastings and media opportunities as an ambassador of our Italian culinary philosophyQualifications
Minimum of 8 years of experience as an Italian Chef, with at least 3 years in a multi-unit or corporate roleExpertise in authentic Italian cooking techniques, with a focus on handmade pasta, sauces and traditional recipesStrong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams across multiple locationsExceptional organizational and time management skills to oversee multi-unit operationsCulinary Degree or formal training in Italian cuisine from a recognized institution is highly preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWillingness to travel regularly to restaurant locations and adapt to a dynamic schedulePerks
