What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing/Mechanical Enginner Intern position at Hudson Lock LLC?
POSITION PURPOSE/MISSION:
To gain exposure to internal operations at Hudson Lock through hands on experience in manufacturing, engineering and other areas of the company. This will be a full-time position during the summer with the opportunity for continued part-time work during the school year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in training program that includes equipment operation and maintenance.
- Assist in key engineering projects.
- Present findings and lessons learned to top management at the end of the internship.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
- No direct supervisory duties
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Internal – Regularly interact with Materials, Quality, Engineering, Sales, Receiving and Manufacturing.
- External – Occasional interaction with suppliers and customers.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Technical Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, prefer Manufacturing or Mechanical.
- Strong spatial and mechanical reasoning skills.
Preferred Technical Qualifications:
- Previous internship experience a plus.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
