Hudson Lock, LLC is looking for a driven Product Safety and Compliance Engineer to take charge of developing and managing a comprehensive compliance program. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring that our products meet global safety and regulatory standards, while building and maintaining critical documentation and processes that support our product line.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Product Safety and Compliance Engineer at Hudson Lock, you will:
- Ensure all hardware products meet global regulatory requirements, establishing compliance processes that are essential for future success.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate compliance seamlessly into product designs and ensure on-time launches.
- Serve as the go-to expert for regulatory standards, offering guidance on compliance requirements to design and development teams.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive compliance database, managing documentation and certifications across product lines.
- Manage the submission and approval process with regulatory agencies, ensuring all certifications are up-to-date and in order.
- Ensure compliance across packaging, labeling, and artwork to meet international market requirements.
- Work closely with Supply Chain to meet chemical compliance regulations, including RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65.
- Maintain and track compliance records, ensuring smooth certification renewals without sales disruptions.
- Develop and maintain a compliance matrix, outlining global regulatory requirements and standards.
- Provide budgetary estimates for compliance costs, working collaboratively with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Finance.
- Drive compliance for special projects, including product redesigns and new market launches.
- Design testing and certification strategies that are both cost-effective and efficient.
What You Bring to the Table:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Material and/or Environmental Engineering (Master’s a plus).
- 5 years of hands-on experience with compliance testing, certification, and documentation.
- Experience navigating international certification processes and working with NRTLs such as UL, CE, CSA, FCC.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance regulations, including RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65, and the associated documentation.
- Experience working with a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory or certification agency is a plus.
