What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIETARY MANAGER position at Hudson Pointe at Riverdale Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing?
SUMMARY:
Supervises
the activities in the kitchen to provide the highest quality of service and
product to residents in a cost-effective manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs and
supervises all dietary functions and personnel.
- Follows
policies and procedures for the Nutritional Services Department.
- Accountable
for the proper storage of all food and supplies used by the Nutritional
Services Department and minimizing loss.
- Ensures that
the kitchen staff follows the required food handling and preparation policies,
procedures, and regulations.
- Schedules
work hours and assignments also reviews and checks staff work performance. Is
responsible to see that each shift is properly staffed.
- Is
responsible for food purchase, production, and timely service of meals.
- Evaluates
and provides direction in food production, including standardizing recipes,
portion control, problem-solving, and Quality Assessment and Assurance
activities.
- Duties are
determined by the facility's needs and may include, but are not limited to the
following:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified
Dietary Manager (CDM) Certificate
- Long-term
Care or Healthcare experience is a plus!
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
