Position Summary
Oversees the 340B drug pricing program ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
Job Duties
Monitors and enforces adherence to all 340B program rules and regulations.
- Conducts regular internal audits to identify potential compliance issues.
- Stays updated on any changes to 340B regulations and adapting program procedures accordingly.
- Implements and manages the 340B program across all eligible sites within the organization.
- Oversees the use of split-billing software and managing mixed-use areas to ensure accurate drug pricing.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive 340B policies and procedures
- Analyzes data to identify opportunities for maximizing cost savings through the 340B program.
- Monitors drug utilization patterns to optimize 340B drug purchasing.
- Reports on financial performance of the 340B program to senior leadership
- Leads and supervises a team of 340B specialists responsible for day-to-day program operations.
- Provide training and ongoing education to staff on 340B compliance and best practices
- Collaborates with pharmacy leadership, IT teams, and other departments to ensure smooth integration of the 340B program.
- Engages with drug manufacturers and wholesalers to address any 340B related issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven track record managing complex healthcare programs, preferably in a pharmacy or hospital setting.
- Extensive knowledge of 340B program regulations and compliance requirements.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of financial analysis and budgeting
- Exceptional analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and effectively
- Experience in developing and managing high-performing teams
Education, Experience and Certification/Licensure Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, business administration or a related field.
- Previous experience managing complex healthcare programs, preferably in a pharmacy or hospital.
