What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandiser position at Hudson RPM Distributors, LLC?
Hudson News is a large distributor of magazines, books and other types of general merchandise and consumer products. We are currently seeking Part Time Merchandisers to join our team in the Leesburg, VA . In this role, you will be responsible for the merchandising of our products at major retailers and independent accounts.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Stocking magazines/books on display racks and shelves according to promotional guidelines and standards
- Removing outdated product from the displays and packing them as returns
- Maintaining positive relationships with store personnel including receivers and store managers
- Communicating issues at the retail level to the Hudson News corporate team
- Processing re-orders for retailers as needed
- Attending training and/or meetings with company representative when necessary
- Special projects as needed
- Stocking General Merchandise and Consumer Products on clip strips according to planograms located throughout grocery store isles
Skills/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- Ability to pull, push, bend, reach, and work in the standing position
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent customer skills with a "can-do" attitude
- Must be able to travel to different stores within a surrounding area
Requirements:
- Must be available to merchandise on our primary delivery days (Monday,Wednesday, Thursday and Friday), as well as occasional other days based on business needs
- Must have a car and clean license
- Must have a Smartphone
