House Manager / Family Assistant Position
Location : Brooklyn, NY (Bed-Stuy)
Hours : Approx 30 hours per week
Rate : $30 / hour
Tentative Schedule
- Monday : 9am-5pm (8 hours)
- Tuesday : 1pm-5pm (4 hours)
- Wednesday : 9am-5pm (8 hours)
- Thursday : 1pm-5pm (4 hours)
- Sunday : 2pm-5pm (3 hours)
- Additional hours as mutually agreed upon

Position Overview
This dynamic role combines household management and personal assistance for a busy Brooklyn family. The ideal candidate will maintain high standards for home organization and cleanliness while providing thoughtful personal support. This person will be responsible for creating and maintaining household systems that ensure consistency throughout the home.
Core Responsibilities
Household Organization & Systems
Creating and maintaining efficient organizational systems throughout the house includingOrganizational structures for all spaces (closets, drawers, etc)Inventory for all household itemsGrocery and FoodBuilding and documenting household processes; management of house manualManaging wardrobe organization and seasonal rotationsEnsuring items are consistently returned to their proper placesHousehold Management & Maintenance
Daily :
Performing daily house reset and tidying in all common areasLight cleaning and touch-ups between deep cleaning service visitsManaging incoming mail and packagesEnsuring spaces remain consistently organized and presentableFollowing up on cleaning tasks to ensure proper executionOverseeing laundry systems and ensuring consistent executionManaging inventory and ordering systems for household suppliesSupervising deliveries, returns, and household logisticsManaging vendor relationships (exterminators, plumbers, contractors, etc.)Proactively identifying and addressing household maintenance needsQuality control for all household servicesSetting up systems to maintain consistent standardsWeekly / As NeededCoordinating with weekly cleaning service to maintain high standardsManaging inventory and ordering systems for household suppliesManaging Grocery needs -inventory, procurement, etcBasic food prep-smoothie packets, veggie prep, etcResearching and coordinating home projects and improvementsProactively identifying and addressing household maintenance needs, i,eExterminatorsChimney SweepGardenersSeasonal
