Hudson Valley Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Financial Services Representative. In this role, you will provide exceptional member service by accurately completing financial transactions, identifying member needs, and promoting HVCU products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Processing: Accurately complete all types of account transactions requested by members, including processing negotiable instruments and handling large volumes of cash.
- Member Service: Provide courteous, prompt service and proactively identify member needs, recommend solutions, and refer members to HVCU platform staff or automated services.
- Safety and Security: Adhere to branch safety and security practices and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality, securely handling cash and negotiable items, and physical security standards.
- Marketing and Promotions: Support the successful implementation of marketing programs and promotions by creating member awareness and recommending products when appropriate.
- Policies and Procedures: Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements, participate in required training and development, and demonstrate knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate, or state-authorized high school equivalent certificate; or current high school senior in possession of a certificate of satisfactory academic standing.
- Experience: Minimum 6 months of customer service and sales experience in a financial institution or retail environment preferred.
