What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President Human Resources position at Hudson Valley Hospice?
Hudson Valley Hospice is seeking a dynamic, experienced and strategic Vice President of Human Resources to lead our HR initiatives and drive organizational effectiveness. This executive role will be pivotal in shaping our company culture, enhancing employee engagement, and be responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the Human Resources function of Hudson Valley Hospice. The Vice President of Human Resources will work closely with the Executive Team to identify HR concerns, issues or matters that need to be addresses. We are seeking someone who is compassionate, diplomatic and can see the vision of Hudson Valley Hospice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HR management, data analysis, and senior leadership, with a proven track record of managing HR functions in a fast-paced environment.
Who we are looking for :
- Exhibits strong knowledge of HR law, regulations and employee relations
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
- At least 5 years' experience in upper-level HR management role; experience working closely Executive staff and Board members
- SHRM Certified preferred
- Experience is healthcare setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on employee relations
- Innovative thinker with ability to recognize the HR balance between the employer and employees.
Hours : Full Time; Monday-Friday (8 : 30am-4 : 30pm) - overtime when necessary
