What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Crew position at Hudson Valley Renegades?
The Hudson Valley Renegades are seeking individuals to fill multiple roles on the groundscrew to assist in the preparation and maintenance of the playing surface for the upcoming 2023 season. This is a seasonal position working primarily on baseball gamedays from February to October.
The Renegades groundscrew is responsible for the upkeep of the field for 66 Renegades home games, as well as various other non-baseball events.
Seasonal groundscrew employees will perform duties as assigned by the Head Groundskeeper and/or Assistant Groundskeeper. These duties may include but are not limited to:

Seasonal groundscrew employees will perform duties as assigned by the Head Groundskeeper and/or Assistant Groundskeeper. These duties may include but are not limited to:
- Batting practice setup/tear down
- Pregame field prep (dragging, painting lines, watering)
- Post game cleanup, mound/homeplate clay repair
- Assisting with the infield tarp and all other weather related issues
- Occasional help with off-week projects and events (Sod repair, concerts, etc.)
- No prior field maintenance experience is required
Qualifications:
- Availability to work most, if not all, Renegade home games
- Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions including rain, cold, and extreme heat
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
