The Hudson Valley Renegades are looking for a dynamic and spirited on-field host to be the heart of our game day entertainment! The ideal candidate is high-energy, spunky, and thrives on engaging with fans of all ages. If you have a friendly and family-oriented personality and love to be at the center of the action, this role is for you!
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary host for in-game promotions, contests, and fan engagement activities, both on the field and from the dugouts.
- Interact with fans in a personable and family-friendly manner, creating a welcoming and fun atmosphere throughout the game.
- Work closely with the entertainment team to execute game-day entertainment scripts and creatively adapt to live-game conditions when applicable
- Be actively involved in all on-field entertainment, from leading interactive fan games and relaying announcements to welcoming the crowd to participate along
- Adapt to live game changes effortlessly and foster spontaneous moments to maintain an upbeat, entertaining atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Availability to work most or all home games during the 66-game season.
- Experience in hosting, theater, improv, or other performance-based backgrounds is highly preferred.
- Energetic and engaging personality with a genuine love for fan interaction.
- Ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment and be flexible with game-day needs.
- Strong communication skills and a family-friendly demeanor to connect with fans of all ages.

b. Promotion Announcements: Introduce a Mascot Dance off where two fans will compete against Rascal in a dance battle. Be sure to describe the contest with excitement and invite fans to cheer for their sections. Make them feel involved even if they’re just watching!
c. Wrap-Up: Close by hyping up the rest of the game, keeping the energy high (e.g. “Alright, Renegades fans, who’s ready for more baseball? Let’s hear it!”)
