Job Title: Water Aerobics Instructor (Part-Time)
Location: Hudsonville Instructional Pool
Schedule: 1–4 classes per week (60 minutes each)

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Water Aerobics Instructor to lead fun, energizing 60-minute classes at our high school pool. This is a part-time position perfect for someone who enjoys working with adults and older adults in a supportive community setting. Whether you're a seasoned instructor or looking to gain more experience, we welcome your passion and positivity!
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, engaging workouts tailored to the fitness levels of participants, with appropriate modifications as needed.
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere that encourages regular participation and community connection.
- Arrive early to prepare for class and stay after if needed for brief participant questions or feedback.
- Maintain safety standards and respond calmly in the event of an emergency.
Requirements:
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before starting).
- Certification in water aerobics or group fitness (AEA, AFAA, ACE, etc.) preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude.
- Must be dependable and comfortable working in a high school setting.
Schedule & Commitment:
- Class times to be determined based on instructor and facility availability.
Qualification Requirements:
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret communication including emails, letters, spreadsheet and forms Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from the community, regulatory agencies or staff members
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate basic mathematical formulas; add and subtract totals; multiply and divide; determine percentages and decimals; spatial aptitude to inspect length and weight of objects
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
