ForemostFence is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Site Accountant with proven full-charge accounting experience to join our growing fence company in Sarasota, FL. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in accounting software and functions as well as open to performing a wide range of tasks to support the business, including data entry and administrative support to the company’s sales and operations departments.
As the Site Accountant you will be responsible for:
Ensuring timely and accurate processing of accounts payable invoices, vendor payments, customer invoicing, and payroll.
Daily processing of credit card and bank transactions.
Maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger, journal entries, balance sheets (including monthly reconciliation), and financial reports.
Data entry of sales quotes and orders into the company’s accounting system and other electronic platforms.
Providing administrative support throughout project’s lifecycle to ensure the accuracy and specific application of project costs to jobs.
Filing sales tax for the state of Florida.
Monitoring and follow up on payments from customers.
Interacting with parent company to support the preparation of consolidated reporting, fulfillment of tax requests, responding to annual audit requirements, and supporting operational KPI data needs
Assisting with basic HR functions at the company, such as employee onboarding and offboarding, and other office administrative duties as assigned.
To be successful in the role you must possess:
Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficient understanding of construction accounting concepts and best practices.
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and accounting software such as QuickBooks.
Preferred Skills:
BA in Accounting, a plus
Experience in the construction industry, a plus
