Site Accountant

Allied Fence is seeking a skilled and experienced Site Accountant to join our team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly proficient in accounting software and functions as well as open to performing a wide range of tasks to support the business. This will include some HR functions as well as overseeing front office operations.

As the Site Accountant you will:

•Manage all month-end and year-end close processes

•Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger, journal entries, balance sheets and

financial reports including monthly reconciliation, analysis, and review of

account fluctuations

•Accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll

•Oversee the accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions to

ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable invoices, vendor

payments, subcontractor payments, and customer invoicing

•Daily processing of credit card and bank transactions

•Conducting credit checks on new and potential customers

•Provide administrative support throughout project’s lifecycle to ensure the

accuracy and specific application of project costs to jobs.

•File sales tax for the state of Georgia

•Develop and implement financial policies and procedures

•Interacts with parent company to support the preparation of consolidated

reporting, fulfillment of tax requests, responding to annual audit requirements,

and supporting operational KPI data needs

•Support site technology resources

•Assist with basic HR functions at the company, such as employee onboarding

and offboarding

To be successful in the role you must possess:

•5 years of experience in a financial role

•Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting

•Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

•Ability to work independently and as part of a team

•Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and accounting software such as

QuickBooks.

Preferred Skills:

•BA in accounting or finance

•Experience in the construction industry, a plus

•Proficient understanding of construction accounting concepts and best practices
