Green Mountain Animal, LLC, a premium pet product manufacturing and packaging leader, seeks a highly skilled Controller to oversee all accounting and finance operations. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the food and beverage or contract manufacturing (CMO) industries.

This role requires strong financial expertise, a proven ability to excel in fast-paced environments, and excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with customers, leadership, and office and operational teams. Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounting team, including oversight of AP/AR, while mentoring and developing junior staff.
• Prepare and oversee accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP.
• Lead budgeting and monthly forecasting processes to support business decision-making.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and recommend improvements.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, including timely tax filings.
• Coordinate audits, oversee cash flow, and support financial analysis for cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 8 years of finance or accounting experience, including 4 years in a managerial role and in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in financial management, accounting systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Solid understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing operations.
• Expertise in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (BI/AI tools are a plus).
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities focused on accuracy and compliance.
• Effective communication skills to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proven organizational and leadership capabilities to manage and motivate teams with integrity.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
