The Enterprise Software Architect plays a critical role in ensuring the success and sustainability of software systems by focusing on key responsibilities. They design and implement architecture solutions that are aligned with industry trends and best practices, ensuring that systems are scalable, secure, and efficient. Managing stakeholder relationships is also essential, as the Software Architect collaborates with teams to address technical challenges, provide expert guidance, and act as a trusted advisor to drive the long-term success of software initiatives.
Connexure, formerly known as Young Consulting was founded by David Young in 1995. Connexure started developing software for insurance carriers to help them better manage their books of business. Today, Connexure is a software company focused on servicing the entire self-funded medical benefits ecosystem.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Architectural Vision and Strategy :
- Develop and communicate a clear architectural vision and strategy aligned with Connexure's goals and market opportunities, with a specific focus on microservices-based architecture.
- Ensure architectural integrity and consistency across all products and services.
- Solution Design and Implementation :
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance SaaS solutions tailored to the self-funded health insurance market, leveraging microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Microservices Development :
- Design, implement, and manage a microservices architecture that supports the scalability and flexibility of Connexure's SaaS products.
- Define best practices for microservices development, deployment, and maintenance, including service orchestration, API management, and containerization.
- Technology Leadership :
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on Connexure's products and strategy.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Requesting 3-5 days in the Atlanta office alongside the Leadership team. Remote work permitted on an as-needed basis throughout the year. Flexibility with schedule around general business hours. Must have reliable internet and familiarity with digital platforms.
