Garage Door Sales and Service Technician

Precision Garage Door is hiring a Full-Time Garage Door Sales and Service Technician in Charlotte, NC.

As a Garage Door Sales and Service Technician, you will take a lead role in servicing, repairing, and installing residential garage doors and openers. You will leverage your technical expertise and sales acumen to deliver high-quality service while providing customers with solutions that meet their needs. This role involves daily customer interaction, ensuring satisfaction through professional service and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales & Customer Service:

  • Demonstrate and promote products or services using effective sales strategies and techniques.
  • Provide written price quotes and recommendations for repairs or replacements to customers.
  • Collect payments and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and signed.

• Technical Service:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair garage door systems, including openers, springs, and cables.
  • Install new garage door systems and openers according to customer requests.
  • Conduct thorough safety inspections and ensure work meets safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work site, ensuring all debris is removed post-service.

• Operational Duties:

  • Ensure your service vehicle is clean, stocked, and maintained for daily operations.
  • Review work orders for accuracy and completeness before each job.
  • Record detailed notes on each job, including any follow-up actions required.
  • Provide emergency services to customers as needed.

​Job Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• 3 plus years of experience in garage door repair, maintenance, or installation.

• 2 plus years of experience as a Sales & Service Technician

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
