Position Overview:
The Procurement and Production Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, scheduling and coordinating installation crews, and overseeing production timelines for residential roofing, gutters, soffit and fascia projects. This role requires experience with AccuLynx and a strong understanding of roofing project processes, including coordination with permits, inspections, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and manage the procurement of project materials, supplies, and equipment.
Establish relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing and terms to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites.
Schedule and assign installation crews based on project needs, ensuring proper crew allocation for efficiency and project timelines.
Monitor progress of ongoing jobs and adjust schedules to address delays or unexpected issues.
Coordinate with crews to ensure that all necessary equipment and materials are available for each project.
Handle the application for necessary permits and ensure timely submission and approval for each project.
Coordinate with local authorities for inspections and ensure projects comply with building codes and regulations.
Follow up on inspection results and address any rework or compliance issues promptly.
Utilize AccuLynx or other production software to track procurement, scheduling, production timelines, and inventory.
Ensure that all project details, including materials, crew schedules, permits, and inspections, are accurately updated in the AccuLynx or other software system.
Generate reports and provide updates to senior management on project status and any potential issues.
Act as the main point of contact between the production team, account managers, and clients.
Ensure seamless communication between teams to meet project deadlines and expectations.
Provide updates to clients and stakeholders regarding project timelines, material availability, and any changes.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual, Fluent in English and Spanish.
Proven experience (3 years) in a similar role within the roofing or construction industry.
Strong knowledge of procurement practices, material management, and vendor relationships.
Experience with AccuLynx or other production software for project management, scheduling, and production tracking.
Understanding of residential roofing processes, including permit and inspection requirements.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage crews and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Ability to problem-solve and adjust project schedules or materials when challenges arise.
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in roofing or construction project management.
Familiarity with local building codes and regulatory requirements.
Additional certifications in construction management or roofing are a plus.
