Precision Garage Door is hiring a Senior Accountant for a full-time opportunity in Charlotte, NC.
This is a remote / hybrid role, primarily remote, with occasional on-site work for special projects.
Precision Garage Door is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic garage door service industry team. This position is responsible for the day-to-day accounting tasks, including managing AR / AP, account reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing process. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and experience in home service or related industries.

Key Responsibilities :
Entering vendor invoices into the accounting system, including coding invoices to correct expense accounts
- Contacting vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies or clarify billing issues.
- Prepare and issue payments to vendors according to established payment terms.
- Reconcile vendor statements with the company’s records to identify any discrepancies.
- Prepare and maintain local business license filings.
- Prepare Form 1099s
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable / receivable, and monthly reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed explanations to the Senior Accounting Manager.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Support the audit process by preparing required documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Ensure that accounting records are maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist in improving and automating financial processes and reporting mechanisms.
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as requested by the Senior Accounting Manager
