The Facilities Maintenance Technician at Granville County Schools is responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks across various trades including carpentry plumbing and painting within assigned school areas. This role ensures that school facilities are safe functional and wellmaintained.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform maintenance and repair of fixtures equipment and systems across various trades.
Execute entrylevel or journeymanlevel responsibilities as assigned.
Follow duties and tasks assigned by the Maintenance and Environmental Safety Supervisor.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and required safety training as specified in the Safety Manual.
Communicate timely information related to safe work practices and noncompliance issues.
Utilize independent judgment in applying procedures methods and practices.
Complete all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
High School diploma or GED equivalency.
Minimum of three years of experience in a related field.
Ability to read interpret and comply with department procedures.
Attention to detail and ability to minimize errors.
Valid motor vehicle operators license according to North Carolina requirements.
Possibility of obtaining a Commercial Drivers License if necessary.
