Corporate Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

Property management company seeks full-time (40 hrs/wk) Corporate Accounting Specialist for available position in our Opelika, AL office. The Corporate Accounting Specialist will assist in creating and maintaining financial records to ensure financial transactions are properly recorded to produce accurate financial reporting.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment processing, and follow-up on outstanding receivables.
• Performs special projects; collects and compiles statistical and financial data for special reports, as directed.
• Prepare financial statements and ad hoc reports as necessary (trial balance, income statement, balance sheet).
• Reconcile and balance all accounts (bank accounts, loan accounts, credit cards).
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with general ledger functions, account reconciliation, financial statement preparation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software, Microsoft Work and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify discrepancies or inconsistencies
• Ability to meet deadlines by budgeting time and prioritizing tasks
• Work with confidentiality and integrity.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
