Job Description:
The Huffines Facility and Grounds Technician helps deliver a world-class customer experience with the Huffines Service Department by ensuring the service drive and surrounding areas of the dealership are kept clean, organized and free of debris. This key contributor will also help maintain the cleanliness and overall safety of key traffic areas for staff including service shop, tool rooms, detail areas, car washing bays, and back lot of the dealership.
Responsibilities:
- Report, recommend, and initiate observed safety related improvement opportunities
- Operate pressure washing equipment to clean floors and walls as needed
- Maintain operational cleanliness of the automated car washing bay
- Operate floor buffing/stripping machine
- Manage individual and bulk trash for service department staff and common areas
- Clean and organize tool rooms
- Walk and maintain the grounds by removing trash and debris daily
- Perform light mechanical/maintenance as needed (painting, sanding, small equipment maintenance, etc.)
- Assist in landscaping and grounds beautification (pull weeds, tree and shrub pruning and general maintenance, etc.)
- Periodically deliver scrap/bulk materials to offsite disposal sites
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in industrial facilities cleaning
- 1-2 years of general maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of painting, general mechanical skills, and small mechanical repairs
- Operating floor cleaning and buffing machinery
- Operational experience with pressure washing equipment
- Follows all shop policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others and be a team player
- Results-oriented self-starter
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Willingness to be flexible and respond quickly to rapidly changing requests for services
- Monday through Friday schedule
