We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Architect to join our Architecture studio in Kansas City.
The role of Project Architect is vital to delivering innovative projects for our clients through a collaborative process. Our process starts with the conditions that make each project unique. Through programmatic, formal, and material explorations a unique concept is developed that guides the design and establishes the goals and objectives of the project. The concept helps ensure all aspects of the project are cohesive and work together in harmony to achieve a unique spatial experience. The success of a project is dependent on the people on our team.
The position requires an experienced individual with a degree in Architecture, as well as a broad knowledge of architecture principles and practices, project management, and innovative design. The Project Architect will be involved in all phases of design from conception to completion. Self-driven and strategic, this position is expected to explore unique design solutions and must thrive in a highly collaborative environment. The position will focus on technical details and construction administration. The Architect is expected to work proficiently with limited direction to advance a project based on time and budget constraints.?
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technical detailing
- Drawing set production and management
- Receive and provide design direction
- Coordination of consultants
- BIM Model ownership and coordination
- Coordinate and present at client meetings
- Construction Administration
- Presentation Production
- Specification Coordination
- Code Review
- Role includes management of design staff
- Stay current with emerging design technologies and materials
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 years minimum experience in an Architect role
- Licensure is required
- Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, and visualization software
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong design skills and technical knowledge
- Working knowledge of code and accessibility requirements
- Experience with sustainable design and LEED certification is a plus
- Experience with computational and parametric design is a plus
- Experience with fabrication is a plus
