Job Title: Drafter

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Drafter to join our Preconstruction team. The Drafter will be responsible for producing precise technical drawings, schematics, and 3D models based on specifications provided by owners, engineers, architects, and internal project stakeholders. This role requires proficiency in various CAD software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, TwinMotion, and Revit, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with project stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and adherence to project specifications and standards. Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately gather field measurements, elevations, and site conditions to incorporate during plan development
  • Create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and 3D models based on provided specifications within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, TwinMotion, Revit) to produce both 2D and 3D drawings and walk-throughs.
  • Integrate design changes and modifications as required, ensuring accuracy and clarity in the final deliverables.
  • Ensure that all drawings comply with company standards and relevant code regulations.
  • Review and revise technical drawings based on feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized documentation for all drawings, revisions, and associated communications.
  • Participate in Preconstruction team meetings, contributing expertise and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Report directly to the Preconstruction Manager to ensure project alignment and progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, TwinMotion, and Revit.
  • Strong ability to interpret and create technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in both technical drawing production and communication/task documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve design challenges.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with both internal and external teams.
  • Knowledge of current construction methods, means, and relevant code regulations.
  • Ability to absorb and retain complex information related to project requirements.
  • Ability to follow direction and work independently while collaborating effectively within the Preconstruction team.
  • A minimum of 3 years of drafting experience or formal education in construction drafting, design, or architecture.

Position Details:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
  • Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
  • Work Location: In-person, on-site (Field)

Job Summary:

As a Drafter, you will play an integral role in the design and planning stages of construction projects by producing accurate and detailed technical drawings. Your expertise in CAD software, attention to detail, and collaborative approach within the Preconstruction team will ensure the successful execution of projects and meet the highest industry standards.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
