What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales / Estimator position at HUG Construction?

Task(s) Summary: Meet with clients and put together estimates for a variety of potential new project (residential and light commercial)
Responsibilities:
- Meet new clients with a goal and expectation of working with them (sales)
- Prepare project estimates and submit them to clients
- Maintain contact with clients and initiate sales
- Facilitate through the design process (if part of the project)
- Finalize hard post (fixed bid)
- Order materials
- Build preliminary schedule
- Perform initial site walk with Director of Operations and Project Manager
- Answer questions throughout the course of the project
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of construction
- Ability to read blueprints
- Great communicator, both verbally and in text
- Good with numbers
- Average computer skills
- Good memory
- Must have high attention to detail
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Demonstrates prioritization, organization, time-management and problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to "think on your feet"
- Available to work 40 hours a week
- Positive attitude & self-starter
- Team player
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
