At Huggins Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Chart Preparation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical operations department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of patient chart preparation and reconciliation.
Responsibilities
- Preparation: Ensure preload of pertinent patient information in the electronic record has occurred for all upcoming appointments, including retrieving records, scanning documents, requesting updates, reviewing and updating procedures, urgent visits, diagnoses, and treatments.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile patient information from all EMR systems, identify outstanding referrals and orders, ascertain patient follow-through, and close orders when possible.
- Collaboration: Work within Allscripts compass to ensure appropriate patient follow-up, consult with Clinical Directors when concerns arise, and connect with staff members to update pertinent findings.
Requirements
- Familiarity with medical terminology and typical components of a patient record.
- Ability to effectively manage considerable mental stress.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
