Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)- Home Health
Hugh Chatham Heath at Home (formerly Yadkin Valley Home Health)
Provides and directs the provision of home speech therapy, based on agency policies and procedures, through the competent application of the speech therapy process
Education and Formal Training: Master's degree with a major in speech pathology. Holds certificate of clinical competence and license granted by the American Speech and Hearing Association. North Carolina license
Work Experience: EXTENDED TRAINING PROGRAM OFFERED FOR NEW GRADUATES!
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Demonstrates a high level of mental and emotional tolerance and even temperament when dealing with ill people; uses tact, sensitivity, sound judgment and a professional attitude when relating with patients, families, and co-workers at all times. Actively functions as a patient advocate. Must develop knowledge of current home care emergency policies and procedures, fire safety, disaster and infection control policies.
