Summary
Under direction of MIS Director, analyzes computer hardware and software problems and makes repairs or recommendations as necessary. Supports the development of new projects involving personal computers and the hospital information systems. Provide computer hardware and software setup and upgrades. Provide end-user hardware and software training as required. Provide technical support for Hospital Information Systems. Provide network support as required. Support on call schedule for resolving hardware and software problems.
Education and Formal Training: Associate degree; with at least 2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Microsoft or other industry certifications desired. A Certification desired. Networking desired.
Work Experience: Two years experience preferred in hardware support.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Computer hardware. Computer software applications; Microsoft Office, Windows Operating systems, DOS and Remote access. Basic networking fundamentals. Peripheral hardware; CPUs, scanners and printers. Must have good written and verbal communications skills in individual and group settings. Local travel will be required.
